Terms and conditions

The general terms that apply when you buy from Motorcycles United as a consumer.

Version: October 2026

1. Who we are

These terms are used by Motorcycles United B.V., Gotenburgweg 46a, 9723 TM Groningen, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 66291887, VAT number NL856483187B01 ("Motorcycles United", "we", "us"). Email: info@motorcyclesunited.eu. Phone: +31 85 060 6065, Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 CET.

2. Definitions

In these terms:

  • Consumer: a natural person who is not acting for a business or profession;
  • Day: a calendar day;
  • Product: any product we offer, sell or deliver;
  • Website: motorcyclesunited.com, where you can view and buy products and see your orders.

3. Scope

3.1 These terms apply to every offer we make and every distance contract between us and a consumer.

3.2 Before the contract is concluded, these terms are available on the website in a form you can save and print.

3.3 Deviations from these terms only apply if we have agreed them with you in writing.

3.4 If a provision of these terms is void, the other provisions remain in force. We will then replace the void provision with one that comes as close as possible to its purpose.

3.5 These terms do not limit the rights you have under mandatory consumer law. A manufacturer's guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.

4. Offer

4.1 All offers are without obligation and valid while stocks last.

4.2 We describe products as accurately as we can, with the product number and, where available, the make and model data needed to judge whether a product suits you.

4.3 We take great care with the information and images on the website, but we cannot guarantee that they are free of errors. Dimensions and data are approximate unless stated otherwise. Small deviations that are technically unavoidable or usual in the trade may occur.

4.4 Prices include VAT. Within the EU we charge the VAT rate of the country we deliver to; outside the EU no Dutch VAT is charged and import duties and taxes are for the recipient. Prices are shown in euros, or in your local currency where we offer it. Shipping costs are shown before you pay. Obvious mistakes in prices or descriptions do not bind us.

5. The contract

5.1 The contract is concluded when you accept our offer by completing an order. If a product turns out to be unavailable, we may cancel the order and refund any payment straight away.

5.2 We confirm your order by email. Until we have confirmed it, you may cancel the order.

5.3 We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the data you send us and to offer a secure payment environment.

5.4 Within the limits of the law, we may refuse an order or attach conditions to it if we have good reasons, which we will tell you.

6. Delivery

6.1 We deliver to the address you give in your order. Delivery times are estimates and depend partly on our suppliers; they are not strict deadlines.

6.2 If we cannot deliver within 30 days, we tell you. You may then cancel the order free of charge and we refund what you paid within 14 days.

6.3 The risk of loss or damage stays with us until the product has been delivered to you or to someone you named in advance.

6.4 If you refuse a delivery, the costs of return transport and storage are for your account and may be set off against your payment.

6.5 Changing the delivery address is only possible with our consent. Please do not ask the carrier to change it without involving us; in that case the risk passes to you.

7. Right of withdrawal and returns

7.1 You may withdraw from the contract without giving a reason within 14 days after receiving the product (or, for an order delivered in parts, the last part). We extend this period to 30 days; see Returns & exchanges for how to return.

7.2 During this period handle the product with care. Only unpack and test it as far as needed to judge whether you want to keep it, as you would in a shop. Do not fit or mount it to another product unless that is needed to test it.

7.3 Return the product complete, with all accessories, in its original condition and packaging. If the product has been used or fitted beyond what was needed to judge it, you are liable for the loss in value.

7.4 The cost of returning the product is paid by you. We refund the purchase price, including the standard shipping costs of the original order, within 14 days after receiving your withdrawal. We may wait with the refund until we have received the product back or you have shown that you sent it. We refund with the payment method you used, unless you agree to another method.

7.5 The right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to your specification, which are not prefabricated and which are made on the basis of your individual choice.

8. Conformity and warranty

8.1 Our products meet the contract, the specifications in the offer and the reasonable requirements of soundness and usability for normal use. We do not guarantee suitability for any special use unless we have agreed this in writing.

8.2 In addition to your statutory rights we give a 2-year warranty against manufacturing and material defects. The conditions are on the Warranty page.

9. Complaints

9.1 Report complaints to us in full and clearly described, within a reasonable time after you discovered the problem, by email to info@motorcyclesunited.eu.

9.2 We confirm receipt and aim to resolve a complaint within 14 days. If it takes longer, we let you know within those 14 days when you can expect an answer.

10. Payment and retention of title

10.1 You pay at the time of ordering, unless we have agreed otherwise.

10.2 If you pay late, we may hand the claim over for collection. Collection costs are then charged within the limits of the Dutch Extrajudicial Collection Costs Act.

10.3 Products remain our property until you have paid everything you owe under the contract.

11. Liability

11.1 As far as mandatory consumer law allows, our liability for a defective product is limited to free repair or replacement, or dissolution of the contract.

11.2 As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, and our liability per event is limited to the amount you paid for the product concerned, including shipping costs.

11.3 These limitations do not apply to damage caused by intent or gross negligence, or to product liability under Article 6:185 and following of the Dutch Civil Code.

12. Force majeure

12.1 If we cannot meet our obligations because of circumstances beyond our control, such as strikes, disruption of internet or telecom services, problems at suppliers or carriers, or government measures, we may suspend those obligations for as long as the situation lasts.

12.2 If force majeure lasts longer than 90 days, both parties may cancel the contract in writing. Anything you already paid for products not delivered is refunded.

13. Personal data

We process your personal data as described in our privacy policy. For cookies, see our cookie policy.

14. Applicable law and disputes

14.1 Dutch law applies to these terms and to every contract with us. The Vienna Sales Convention (CISG) does not apply. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of that country.

14.2 We would rather solve a complaint together with you. If that does not work, disputes are brought before the competent court in the district of Noord-Nederland, unless the law gives you the right to go to the court of your place of residence.

15. Changes

We may change these terms. The version that applied when you placed your order applies to that order.
