The manual is very clear and leaves little room for mistakes, and it's a lot easier than getting the old wiring back to standard. Do take care with the wiring and the battery, especially with the high-powered lithium batteries you often find on custom bikes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe mo.unit is for 12 V systems only (9 to 15 V). It doesn't need a fuse itself, but motogadget requires a main fuse of no more than 40 A between battery and bike, because a faulty voltage regulator can cause a short circuit. Mount it away from spray water and at least 20 cm from the engine or exhaust, with one of the two M5 mounting screws earthed straight to the battery's negative terminal.
